Hi there, I'm Melissa! At Swingly, we're here to help you create a world of play with ease, where your kids can imagine and learn. We're thrilled to have you as part of our Swingly community, and we can't wait to see your little shop owners on their grand opening day!
How We Started
I still remember vividly the whirlwind of early 2020. Just like many parents at the time, I found myself overwhelmed and scrambling to keep my kids engaged and entertained amidst the chaos of everyday life.
I had two little ones who adored imaginative play, especially pretending to run their own shops. But those bulky playhouses? They quickly became the bane of my existence—so time-consuming to set up and a constant source of clutter. I was forever living in a sea of toy chaos!
Feeling guilty that my children were often glued to screens while I worked, I realized it was time for a change. That’s when I made a pivotal decision: I would reinvent playtime. I envisioned a solution that would spark creativity while being incredibly easy to set up—our Swingly doorway storefronts.
More than a toy
What we created not only brought fun back into our living room but also served as an educational tool, teaching my kids about entrepreneurship through immersive play shop themes. They learned important life skills like teamwork, problem-solving, and financial literacy—all while having a blast!
With over 20 years in product and brand development fuelled by my experiences as a mom, I felt the urgency and drive to fill this gap in the market. When we successfully launched Swingly through Kickstarter in 2021, it was a heartfelt moment for me. I felt like I was finally providing other busy moms a solution I wish I had long ago.
Today, it's incredibly rewarding to see the joy Swingly brings to countless families. Kids are happier and more engaged, while parents like me no longer spend hours setting up complicated playtime arrangements. Swingly has transformed our home—and I believe it can transform yours too. With Swingly, a world of creative fun is just a doorway away.
